In the world of online shopping, consumers go to eCommerce tiles for different views of products, nutritional facts, product highlights, and ways items are used and styled. Hormel reached out to us and requested us to put together a short video for all the brands they house to engage and inform consumers with more information. These videos aid in the online shopping experience and have been shown on sites like on Target, Walmart, or Amazon. Out of 24 brands at Hormel, I was responsible for making about 20 of the videos.

The Challenge

Create quick and compelling animations or images to display each brand’s products through selected music and images.

The Solution

Short videos and/or imagery that shows off specific products from each brand with closed captions implemented in videos.

With this project, it allowed me to practice my After Effect skills. Though I was a beginner at the time, my absolute favorite is the one I made for Hormel Pepperoni. The Hormel Pepperoni team were on board with the song choice I provided and the playful aspect that the pepperoni goes through in the video.

Following my favorite video, here are other videos that I enjoyed that followed more of a creative direction from the brand managers from the music to imagery and content.

Aside from having the opportunity to practice and learn After Effects and make videos, I had the opportunity to make general eCommerce tiles Hormel products as well that are shown on platforms like Walmart, Amazon, and Target. One example of that is the main product image placed with the weight and category of that product. Other things included in eCommerce tiles can be food photography, nutrition facts, and product information.
